Battery and energy storage

Storage should match your consumption and objectives. We help select and integrate batteries, inverters and controls around your existing electrical system.

Earning through frequency reserves

Reliable power. A chance to earn extra income.

With a suitable battery and controls, your solar system may earn extra income. Frequency reserve markets pay systems to help keep the electricity grid balanced. We check your equipment and grid connection to see whether this could work for you.

With our aggregator

We have an aggregator — a service provider that controls the battery and manages market participation. We help connect your system.

With your chosen aggregator

Already have an aggregator, or prefer another one? We can build a compatible system. We check equipment and control requirements before you order.

Before starting, we check suitability, carry out required tests and agree the terms. Income changes with the market. We also agree how much battery energy to keep for backup.

Could my system qualify? ↗

Start with your objectives and consumption

Do you want to use more of your solar production, manage electricity demand or plan backup power? Each objective sets a different brief. We begin by reviewing consumption, existing generation and grid connection conditions.

We compare suitable approaches and agree the functions your system should provide. Capacity, power and project cost are determined by site data and the intended operating arrangements.

Integration with your existing installation

We review existing inverters, switchboards, metering and controls. This establishes how storage can be connected, which equipment can remain and what needs to be added.

If you need backup power, include it explicitly in the brief. We assess whether the selected solution supports operation during an outage and plan the necessary changes with the rest of the electrical installation.

An agreed scope and operating plan

You can commission system planning, engineering, equipment selection or delivery coordination with our partners. We agree the scope of metering, controls, testing and handover.

The proposal states the assumptions and functions included. Before the final selection, we review monitoring, maintenance and opportunities to retain existing equipment.

What is included in the price?

The quote lists the equipment and work included. We agree installation, setup, testing and user guidance, along with warranty, maintenance and any aggregator connection.

Your questions

Questions and answers

What should you know before ordering?

Can a battery be added to my existing solar installation?

In many cases it can, but integration depends on the existing inverter, electrical installation and required functions. We assess which equipment can remain and what needs to be added.

Will the inverter need replacing?

Not always. Some systems can use a compatible battery with the existing inverter; others may need a separate storage inverter or replacement equipment. Start by sending the inverter model or a photo of its nameplate.

Will the battery supply power during a grid outage?

Having a battery alone does not guarantee this. The complete system must be designed and connected for outage operation. If you need backup power, mention it in your first enquiry.

How do you choose battery capacity and power?

Capacity determines how much energy can be stored; power determines which loads can be supplied simultaneously. Selection follows your consumption data, existing generation and intended use.

Will battery storage pay off at my site?

This requires a site-specific assessment. Consumption timing, electricity prices, network charges, solar generation, system cost and controls all affect the result. Backup power also provides reliability value. A payback estimate requires a review of the underlying data.

How can battery storage earn revenue in frequency reserve markets?

An aggregator controls charging and discharging within agreed limits to help balance the electricity system. Depending on the market product and contract, payments may cover availability and actual regulation. Participation requires suitable equipment, controls and compliance with the relevant technical requirements.

Must I use the aggregator offered by FutureEnergy?

You can use our aggregator or choose another provider. For another aggregator, we design around their integration and control requirements. Equipment and control compatibility are checked before the final solution is agreed.

How much revenue can market participation generate?

Revenue depends on market prices, offered power, battery availability, grid connection limits and aggregator terms. Assessment includes energy costs, losses, service fees and battery wear. We prepare a site-specific estimate with its assumptions; fixed monthly income or payback is not guaranteed.

What information is needed for a quote?

Where available, send consumption data, main fuse rating and details of your solar installation and inverter. For market participation, include permitted grid import and export capacities. Describe your goals: self-consumption, demand management, backup power or market participation.

Backup power and earning potential together.

Send your system details, consumption data and permitted grid import and export capacities.

Advertising measurement choices

With your permission, we send OpenAI an event only after an enquiry is successfully sent, with an advertising click reference when available. We do not send your name, email address or message for measurement. You can use the form if you decline and change your choice in the footer.

Your information.

Controller

FutureEnergy is a brand of Baltic Energy Engineering Service OÜ. For privacy enquiries, email almer@futureenergy.ee or call +372 5686 8083.

Enquiry form

The form sends your name, email address, selected service, location and message to our server, which uses Resend to send an email to almer@futureenergy.ee. The recipient mailbox is hosted by Zone. We use these details to answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal at your request. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to a business contact.

A success message means the email service has accepted the message for delivery; it does not confirm that it has been read in the mailbox. Your text stays in the form after an error. Unsent form content is not saved in persistent browser storage.

Security and retention

The website is hosted by OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. Security tokens, a hidden control field and rate limits help prevent spam and duplicate messages. The website database holds a random request reference, a keyed content digest, sending status and timestamps. It does not store your name, email address or message. Rate limits use keyed hashes of IP addresses and email addresses, not their original values. Hosting and email providers may process technical logs needed to operate their services.

Technical sending records older than seven days and expired rate-limit records are removed when the form is next used. A technical retry reference stays in your browser for up to seven days or until the session ends. We retain mailbox correspondence as needed to resolve the enquiry and manage any resulting contract, and for applicable legal obligations or the limitation period for claims.

Advertising measurement

Measurement is off without your consent. When measurement is active and you separately allow it, our server sends OpenAI’s Conversions API only a successful enquiry event (lead_created), random request reference, time, page address and advertising click reference (oppref), when available. We do not send your name, email address, message or hashes of those details for advertising measurement. Reusing the request reference prevents duplicate counting. Clicking the send button or opening an email link is not measured as a sent enquiry.

We do not load an advertising pixel or use advertising cookies. Your measurement choice is stored in local browser storage for up to 180 days; the advertising click reference is stored only with consent, for up to 30 days. You can withdraw consent at any time through “Advertising measurement choices” in the footer. This stops future measurement and deletes the locally stored click reference. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place beforehand. You can use the form if you decline.
